     “The five percepts are the foundation of happiness in the family and in society, the basis for the aspiration to help others. The understanding and practice of the five precepts leads to our liberation and to the way of the Awakened One. The Buddha has taught us to create peace and happiness for ourselves and all species”.

     With the purpose of nurturing wholesome conditions for your return and reliance upon the Three Jewels: The Buddha, Dharma and Sangha, we have planned ceremony to transmit the three refuges and five precepts

It will be held on Sunday, May 4th, 2008 at 2:00p.m
(that is one week before the official celebration of Buddha’s Birthday)

     If you have resolved to take refuge in the Three Jewels, and honor the five precepts, please come to the temple and fill out the application and submit a 1x2 photograph, before May 2nd, 2008.

     May you all live in peace and happiness and practice with true teachings in light of the Buddha, and his realizations.
