Dear Dharma brothers, sisters and friends,
The Buddhist Ullambana Day Ceremony is a celebration in remembrance of our parents’ great efforts on our behalf throughout our lives. Ullambana Day is not only a holy day of Buddhism, but it is also a traditional day that Vietnamese people pay tribute to parents and practice filial piety towards the ancestors as well as their grateful ones in their lives.
This year An Lac temple has, in addition to the annual ceremony of Ullambana, an entertainment program to raise fund for building the new Buddha Hall of An Lac Temple with the theme of Appreciation of Parents. The entertainment will be performed by two famous singers from Vietnam, local Vietnamese singers and children of the An Lac Temple in Indianapolis.
We wish to invite you and your family to join us in this special event at:
Indian Community Center,
4420 W. 56th street, Indianapolis, IN 46254
At 5 p.m, on Sunday, September 2nd, 2007
Vegetarian dinner and refreshment will be available during the entertainment night.
Ticket price is $40 for adults, and $20 for children under 12 years old.
Tickets are available at An Lac Temple
Your presence in the entertainment program will aid us in involving members of the greater Indianapolis community, and will assist us in further enlivening the way we serve religious/spiritual experiences within our multicultural society and introduce to the American community of Vietnamese traditional musical arts.
